When we talk about roofing nails, we mean a highly specialised product, made to specific parameters to meet entirely particular needs. The head is wide, with a flat or umbrella shape, to maximise hold on soft surfaces such as bituminous shingles, and the body too can be knurled to increase grip. At the same time, given exposure to the weather, the finishes of roofing nails – galvanised or stainless – are in any case chosen from corrosion-resistant ones.
